Getting Started
What is Ratiocine?
Ratiocine is a prompt management platform consisting of a browser extension, web application, and Progressive Web App (PWA). It helps you save, organise, sync, publish, and share text prompts across your devices.
Who is Ratiocine for?
Ratiocine is designed for anyone who works regularly with AI tools, including developers, writers, marketers, students, researchers, and content creators.
Do I need an account?
It depends on how you use Ratiocine.
Browser Extension
You can use the browser extension without creating an account and save up to 100 prompts locally on your device.
Once you reach the local storage limit, you'll need to create a free account or remove existing prompts to continue saving prompts.
Website & Progressive Web App (PWA)
A free account is required to use the website and PWA.
Creating an account also lets you sync prompts to your online Vault and publish prompts to the community.
Is Ratiocine free?
Yes.
Ratiocine offers a free plan with generous limits and a Premium Pro subscription that unlocks additional storage, publishing, and premium features.
Current plan details are available on the Pricing page.
What platforms are supported?
Ratiocine supports:
- Chrome
- Firefox
- Chromium-based browsers (such as Edge, Brave, and Opera)
- Web browsers
- Progressive Web App (PWA) on supported mobile devices
Prompts & Vault
Where are my prompts stored?
Without an account, prompts remain stored locally in your browser.
With an account, you can sync prompts to your online Vault and access them across supported devices.
Can I export my prompts?
Yes.
You can export your prompts as a JSON backup from the browser extension.
Can I import prompts?
Yes.
Previously exported JSON backups can be imported into your Vault.
Can I organise prompts?
Yes.
You can organise prompts using tags, search, collections, and other organisational tools provided by the Service.
Who owns my prompts?
You retain ownership of the prompts you create.
If you choose to publish prompts publicly, you grant Ratiocine permission to display them as part of operating the Service.
Can I recover deleted prompts?
Yes, for a while.
Deleted prompts are moved to the Bin rather than removed immediately. You can restore them from the Bin at any point within 30 days of deletion.
After 30 days, a purge cron permanently deletes any prompts still in the Bin. Restored prompts come back as private; collection memberships are not automatically re-attached.
We still recommend exporting important prompts regularly if you wish to keep your own backups.
Collections
What are Collections?
Collections allow you to group multiple prompts together into an organised sequence that can be managed and shared using a single link.
Can I edit Collections?
Yes.
Collections can be renamed, reordered, updated, unpublished, or deleted at any time.
Can I share Collections?
Yes.
Collections can be shared using a link.
Some sharing options may depend on your current subscription or future feature availability.
Community
How do I publish prompts?
Once you're signed into your account, you can publish prompts directly to the community.
Who can see published prompts?
Published prompts are visible within the Ratiocine community.
Please avoid publishing confidential or sensitive information.
Can I report inappropriate content?
Yes.
Users can report content that they believe violates our Terms of Service or community rules.
Premium
What does Premium Pro include?
Premium Pro removes free plan limits and includes additional features such as expanded Vault storage, increased publishing limits, and cross-device synchronisation.
Premium features may evolve over time.
How do subscriptions work?
Premium Pro is billed as a recurring subscription until cancelled.
You may cancel at any time through the billing portal.
Cancelling prevents future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Refund requests are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.
Please refer to the Refund Policy for full eligibility details.
Privacy & Security
Is my data private?
Private prompts remain private unless you choose to publish them.
Locally stored prompts remain on your device until you choose to sync them.
For more information, please see our Privacy Policy.
Can I delete my account?
Yes.
You may request account deletion at any time. Once requested, your account enters a 30-day grace period.
During those 30 days you can sign in and cancel the deletion to restore full access. After the grace period expires, your account and associated data are permanently removed by an automated purge.
